This PR adds functionality to the legends and basemap. Both can now be collapsed and expanded. The legends bar has been moved to the left by the vertical menu to support more room for expansion.
The left vertical menu has been slightly reduced in width to provide more room.
This PR also fixes a discovered bug #114 that caused a crash.
