Hey Mike,
In short, LR4 does not have DF1/DF2 statuses and your robot is probably working just fine.
The way LR3 and LR4 work are quite different. In comparison, the LR3 was pretty naive. The waste drawer sensor is one of those where it lacked and relied heavily on past cycles to calculate when DF1/DF2 would trigger. If I recall correctly, there was a single laser that would trigger the DFS/SDF status if the waste was in its way. With the LR4, however, I think it actually measures the height which is why you see the waste level fluctuate up and down.
Hey Nate,
Thanks for the confirmation. I guess I just need to treat 90% full as "full", because by the time I get DFS, I have a hard time pulling out the bin, and I can see some clumps were "decapitated".
Litter height, which uses the same sensor, reports only 80% full at the max fill line. Together with waste reported low, suggests it consistently under reports. Maybe I can recalibrate the sensor.
Thanks!

That is interesting. Maybe there is an issue there with your sensors that you could reach out about as I don't have that issue with mine. Might be worth checking if there is a firmware update as well and see if that helps.
I applied a firmware update, we'll see how it goes. Thanks again.
Hi Nate,
I was wondering if you are getting DF1 and DF2 statuses since moving to LR4. I do not see these statuses anymore. Instead, it goes straight to DFS.
Furthermore, when I do get the DFS status, I feel the waste bin is over-filled. I have a feeling my robot is not functioning correctly. I wanted to check with you on your experiences before I call LR support, since talking about hidden statuses with support will be challenging...
Thanks, Mike
