The ability to configure the default 10 Kernel Scan Time will be highly useful when dealing with configurations like mine that require longer hold durations, such as when you use Merge Paths to build ECMP routes, as BIRD will start to die if you don't configure the scan time to a number like 500.
I also therefore propose the default of 10 be changed to either 200, 250, or 300 respectively, as well as this feature being added.
