Add a Mentors page #60

Moorthy usually says something like "You can ask Nate, Colin, etc" during the meetings, but it may be nice to explicitly list the people who have volunteered/been appointed to be mentors so that other students can easily find someone they know will be receptive to help.

We can just have a page with mentors and their contact information. We could also have a link to that Google docs with everyone's skills. Is that still floating around?

I made a new one but apparently didn't send it out because it is still empty:

Here is the one from last semester: https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AsyIfGqnlfSodDNBSDVLNVFmUXhDUDhiRDhWdFQ0UFE&hl=en&authkey=CNnW-6IF

This is something else that could be built into Observatory. The same concept of "active" could apply to people as well as projects, so people don't have to fill out the same information each semester.

I like the idea of having a people section of Observatory.

Good point - it doesn't just have to be the mentors, it should be everyone. I think it should be sortable by "Type" (member, mentor) though.

zalberico commented 13 years ago

Yeah, that would be nice.
