[Feature] Load High or Low resolution textures depending on distance #2

Hi

When I use High resolution textures (8 or 16k) flightgear becomes slow to load tile textures. Would it be possible to pick High or Low resolution textures depending on the aircraft distance?

Now, with dds texturing, it works perfectly!
