Is this project dead (last commit 2013 :( )? Anyone knows a fork or alternative which is still maintained?

Unfortunately I no longer have the time to keep Slides up to date. As an alternative I'd check out http://kenwheeler.github.io/slick/. It's what I've been using on recent projects.
