New Feature: easier interface for re-running queries #41

Hi Stephen

I've got a feature request for your tool. I'm often using the I'm Only Resting
tool against a rest api and find it hard to run older queries again (Menu >
File > Snapshots > ...).

Can you replace the text box for the url with a writable drop-down box? So that
the history (= snapshots) is directly available in the url field?

Many thanks and kind regards
Claudio

Hi Claudio,

Thanks for your feature request, I'll certainly look into making this
improvement.

The current URL textbox should already have history with auto-completion to
help you in your scenario (vs. snapshots which are a complete capture of both
the request and response of a submission), but I do find it is inadequate. I
will first look into improving this existing feature, and then explore
alternatives like you suggest after that.

Note that you can get to the Snapshots fairly quickly with the following key
combo: ALT-F > Up Arrow > Up Arrow

Thanks again for your feedback!

Stephen

Cladio - please see Issue 49, I think the work I did there will make it a lot
easier to re-run queries (there will be a top-level History menu item that you
can quickly get to with the ALT+H shortcut).

I am going to mark this issue as fixed. If the work I did for Issue 49 as good
as you were hoping for, please feel free to open another issue.

Note that the changes I am talking about haven't been released yet, I expect to
get out a release in the next week or two.
