API Statistics #31

Nat told me to put my idea in an issue, so: I think it would be great to have an optional statistics feature as people like to know how much their service is being used, it's also something cool to shout about.

There are already a lot of existing services that provide this functionality. The solutions can be rather complex, and I think this isn't a core functionality of an API framework, I think it would be best to leave this up to the user.
