[BUG] rip v2.0.2 deezer search and url not working

Describe the bug

using rip search deezer doesn't work at all and using rip url <deezer-url> spits out this error

How do I enable verbose logging in v2.0.2? Seems like it got removed

I also have this issue. The debug logs is so long so I use pastebin to display the information.

I use the command like this: rip -v url {album-links}

@nathom About the deezer errors, after some tries, I found that those warnings are fired by any extra track on the album if the album has more than 4 tracks Maybe, Can you use some sort of chunking limit when check for tracks?

@NighthawkUK can you send the debug trace back. I completely removed the code that was causing the error so it should be fine. It is also working on my machine.

@NighthawkUK To clarify, what happens is that no tracks are downloaded but there's also no error message? I'm still not sure what's going wrong exactly.

@nathom Still got the same issue with v2.0.5, trying with both deezer-py 1.3.6 ands 1.3.7. I was able to fix it by tricking urllib3 in the deezer-py code package (site-packages/deezer/init.py):

The method can probably be called somewhere else. And I don't know if deezer-py is still supported, so maybe other libraries with more active development like deezer-python might be worth to be considered.

Checked commands from the first post, with latest version (pip install streamrip) and with dev branch. All is fine, showing search results with 2 lines and downloading full album.

Windows, Python 3.11

Just try installing all clean and re-run. It's not necessary to install full python, just create a venv, install the tool there (the latest version preferably), remove/rename the config folder. btw, I think all should post the python version, it's an important factor too, sometimes...

And people, as a personal advice, learn to inform about the full reproducible steps, here and in any tech tickets basically. "me too", "same here", "+1" are very broad terms and not necessarily mean the same situation or causes. It takes some time to detect the exact steps, but it helps a lot better.

create venv in a new folder
pip install streamrip
rip url https://www.deezer.com/de/album/522936462
paste token
the result: ok / error log...
