2/5/2024 - New Cisco Material Group Meeting - Cisco CyberPatriots Material (All Members) The group had to have a quick meeting regarding outside-sourced lectures on Cisco Packet Tracer, this was more of a practice session to test software and lecture material before doing work with team members on Thursday. Once we had our VLANs configured, we needed to create a trunk between the two switches to see if the lecture would work as requested by @computerbluerain

2/6/2024 - 2/7/2024 - Kali Linux USB Configuration - Linux CyberPatriots Material @liluzibird and @natt96z Worked on finding a smart way to demonstrate this Linux distro without the internet authentication provided by the schools. @computerbluerain made a focus list of targeted material to focus on. Here's what we will teach:

• System administration: pwd, whoami, uptime, free, ps
• Text manipulation: grep, sed, awk
• Network analysis: ping, netstat, tcpdump (use with caution)
• Basic security tools: nmap (limited functionality offline)
• Password cracking (ethical use only): john, hashcat (with pre-captured hashes)

2/8/2024 - Valley High School Visit: Please Refer to the Posted Lesson! (All Members) Our recent mission took us on an exciting journey to Valley High School, where we introduced 4 students to the fascinating world of cybersecurity. Armed with the engaging tools of Cisco Packet Tracer and the latest ethical applications of Kali Linux, we embarked on a quest to spark their interest in this ever-evolving field. Tailoring complex concepts to their level of understanding was a challenge we embraced with enthusiasm.
