July 4th, 2024 Update
3.0.0 is now released! The update includes some major internal changes that fixes the infamous #11. It also contains fixes for modern Minecraft versions.
With 3.0.0 released, I am now officially going to put the addon into maintenance mode. This means that no new features will be added by me (PRs are always welcome though!). However, I'll try to do my best to make bug fixes and support new Minecraft versions.
See you in a year for the next status update! (joke, mostly)

2.0.0 is now released! It has all of these great changes and should support 1.19.2-1.20.1 (earlier versions might be supported, but no guarantees).
I'd like to give a huge thanks to Totobird who made a PR and kickstarted the project again. This update would not be exist if not for their contributions!
Please report any new bugs you find with this new version. There were a lot of internal changes and while I've done my best to thoroughly test them and catch edge cases, it's very likely there are still some outstanding bugs, particularly on Fabric.

While I most likely won't invest much time into the project in the future, I have made a contributing guide to hopefully help anyone interested in contributing. Some of the code is also a little more commented and readable than before.

Hi, just thought I'd make a project status update since it's been a while since there's been an update, or any work done on this mod.
I don't have much motivation to work on this project anymore; I don't use the project myself at all, and I dislike Java as a programming language a lot. There are a lot of random issues that started popping up recently that I never experienced when developing or using the mod, and a lack of proper logging (or toggleable debug logging) on my part has made it hard to find the causes. I've also moved on to projects that are much more interesting to me at this time.
The next major update was supposed to be 2.0.0, and it already has all of these changes implemented. However, I learned a while ago that it should be possible to add group support, so I'm hoping to add that and fix all of the reported bugs before releasing it.
I have no ETA on this update, since I don't know when I'll work on the project again. However, if there are other QOL changes you would like to see added in that update, please make an issue. Additionally, if you have any modding experience, PRs are always welcome! If you're confused about the project structure, or where a certain part is implemented, just comment here and I'll do my best to get back to you. However, if you're new to programming, or minecraft mods/plugins, I will not provide support.
