2 years ago Something like that could be implemented but, it would need to have a different name (due to merfolk being a thing). Alternatively, it could be a race evolution from the merfolk.

Feature Description: This is a new class ive made and i hope it will be implemented into the server
Benefit to the entire server: This will grant a whole new play style and add more options to PVP
Effect on game balance: New Class Idea: The Sirens.
Overview:
Unlike what people picture when they hear the word sirens. These Sirens are different. They are mystical women that possess a crazy and magical ability.
Siren Powers:
PhaseWalk: This power allows the siren to shift into a different plane, becoming invisible and moving very fast and reappearing in a different location. Upon leaving the plane they create a blast of magical energy that damages anyone within a small radius around them.they can also melee to cancel the ability early (Duration: 8 seconds. Cooldown: 40 seconds)
Phase Blast: This allowed a siren to create a small pulse of energy at a target knocking their target back.
Lore:
Sirens first appeared thousands of years ago when 6 babies around the world were born. Sirens are individuals who have acquired incredible, mysterious powers, and are physically distinguished by elaborate tattoos that cover half of their bodies. It is said that only six Sirens can exist at any given time, and when a Siren dies, their powers pass on to another individual.
Sirens can boost their powers when they use Diamond, this boosts their powers strength, duration and speed.
