@alexanderbates I have added a parameter gridlines which is by default set to FALSE and this will toggle the grid lines for you. I have already tested from my side, please check with various kinds of plots and let me know if it works.

Coverage increased (+0.09%) to 81.288% when pulling c98c69f0e467dd2bd8cc0f7bea3935e882106f09 on feature/plotly_grids_labels into 5c346d8b56b18cd3420417be6675b784e1e90cf8 on master.
