Installation does not work on Mac OS 12.6 #20

Describe the bug There is no connection to Faderport8. Installation went fine, but no connection. I have checked Control/OSC/web under preferences and there is no CSI installed.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior: Just followed installation procedure

Operating System

Versions Versions can be found on the About page of the installer

Expected behavior Faderport should connect to Reaper Screenshots If applicable, add screenshots to help explain your problem.

Hi pasicemir, thanx for reporting. Can you check thereaper.ini file for me? I'm interested in the lines starting with: csurf_. Can you share these lines? This looks like a bug reported before and I thought/hoped it was fixed.

Hi there is something wrong with control window in Reaper: [image: image.png] It shows just a part of a window and I can not resize it. Best regards Emir

Ok, I just sent an image that shows that window of an editor for reasonus fader in reaper does not show its content fully. Is is also not possible to close it or resize it. Best regards Emir

Did a small test with the settings from your reaper.ini. After I ran the installer 2 lines were removed as intended. Those are csurf_2 and csurf_3. So this raises some questions:

  • When did you download the installer?
  • Did the install finish successfull?
  • Is there a CSI/Zones/ReasonusFaderPort folder in the REAPER resource folder? (Can be found by going to: Options > Show REAPER Resource....)
  • I'm not quite sure which window you are reerring to. How did you open that window?

Hello again, I managed to get it working, partially. The problem was a MIDI port that was not assigned in Reaper control surfaces preferences. I added it manually and now I can connect to the faderport. But the problem with the ReaSonus Faderport Control is still there. When I start ReaSonus Faderport Control from the action list it opens a window that shows just a part of the control. There are no buttons to close the window and it is not possible to resize it.

I also found another bug on the faderport. The value bar of the channel that is pan hard left does not show the signal at all. I have to pan the signal either to the middle position or hard left to see the signal.

At least good that it starts working. The iussue with the ReaSonus FaderPort control sounds really weird. Do you by any means have time next sunday to do a call?
