I cannot get Faderport 16 version 3.21 Build 16209 working with Reaper 6.81 and the latest version of SW & S/M v2.12.1 #3

Describe the bug I cannot get Faderport 16 version 3.21 Build 16209 working with Reaper 6.81 and the latest version of SW & S/M v2.12.1 #3

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Set Faderport to Studio One Control
2. Start Reaper: Faderport 16 scribble tabs clear, faders move to zero position: "Lights are on but no one is at home"
3. Validate: MIDI devices - Faderport 16 MIDI disabled, Faderport 16 disabled or enabled makes no difference
4. Validate: All files in CSI are correct, the .ini file is correct, and all SW & S/M actions are correct
5. No functions are functional
6. Installed the latest version of Studio One and all features work perfectly

Operating System

• Windows 11 Pro | Version: 22H2 OS | Build: 22621.2283 | Experience: Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22662.1000.0

Versions

• ReaSonus Installer:
• ReaSonus Resources: v1.01
• CSI (ReaSonus): 1.1 (reasonus-edition0

Expected behavior Installed the latest version of Studio One and all features work perfectly, I expect that at least most of the features work in Reaper 6.81. No features are functional.

The ReaSonus Faderport application only displays menu items: "HOME, INSTALL, and ABOUT" It is missing the "FUNCTIONS" menu selection item.

I uninstalled the ReaSonus app, deleted all files and folders, removed all registry entries, all cache files, and Windows references to ReaSonus, rebooted numerous times, validated Reaper 6.81 OPTION settings and SW & S/M actions.

I WILL PAY REAL UNITED STATES $$$ TO SOMEONE OR TO SOMEPLACE TO GET FADERPORT 16 TO WORK ON MY COMPUTER

I need it working as soon as possible, please

Additional context If this is a known problem, I will still pay for someone to contact me, and stay with me in a video screen-sharing chat or phone chat, so I can guarantee that I have a working Reaper with the Faderport 16.

I have the exact same issue. I wound up editing SMS scripts to modify Function/Shift options. Mac Catalina/Reaper 6.58. I also use Dante if that's useful info (prob not). I'd contribute to this project getting finished. EFX map is on the roadmap I understand.

I would love to have a session as early today as possible.

I am excited about getting the Faderport 16 to work in Reaper the way it does in Studio One.

I have been evolving my Reaper design since version 4 and do not like having to move to ProTools or Studio One to get the power of the FaderPort 16 that I have experienced in Studio One.

Let me know if you want a Teams session, a Google Meet, Skype, or some other video conference platform for our screenshare session.

Here are the actions I have taken:

• Updated the Faderport 16 firmware

• Updated the SWS Extensions and confirm that the ReaSonus actions exist

• Installed ReaSonus a number of times

• Uninstalled ReaSonus and all Registry and Drive files a number of times

• Tried these MIDI settings:

• Disabled both Faderport 16 and FaderPort 16 MIDI

• Disabled just FaderPort 16 MIDI, enabling FaderPort 16

• Prayed o the Reaper Gods for Clarity of Understanding 😊

• Placed a curse on the Technology Gods for wasting my time 😊

I have the exact same issue. I wound up editing SMS scripts to modify Function/Shift options. Mac Catalina/Reaper 6.58. I also use Dante if that's useful info (prob not). I'd contribute to this project getting finished. EFX map is on the roadmap I understand.

I have the exact same issue. I wound up editing SMS scripts to modify Function/Shift options. Mac Catalina/Reaper 6.58. I also use Dante if that's useful info (prob not). I'd contribute to this project getting finished. EFX map is on the roadmap I understand.

So it is installed then, but the fp doesn't light up? The Reasonus app never really worked for me past install, I've not used it. Someday, but in the meantime I do have it running and edited the scripts to get f1 f8 shift functions. Sends work efx do not.

A device I have on my desk is a djtools midifighter twister 16. I use it for efx and also on remote recordings as my fader controller. Very handy 4 pages x16 knobs, pan, volume on/off, works like a champ.

I have the exact same issue. I wound up editing SMS scripts to modify Function/Shift options. Mac Catalina/Reaper 6.58. I also use Dante if that's useful info (prob not). I'd contribute to this project getting finished. EFX map is on the roadmap I understand.

So it is installed then, but the fp doesn't light up? The Reasonus app never really worked for me past install, I've not used it. Someday, but in the meantime I do have it running and edited the scripts to get f1 f8 shift functions. Sends work efx do not.

A device I have on my desk is a djtools midifighter twister 16. I use it for efx and also on remote recordings as my fader controller. Very handy 4 pages x16 knobs, pan, volume on/off, works like a champ.

I have the exact same issue. I wound up editing SMS scripts to modify Function/Shift options. Mac Catalina/Reaper 6.58. I also use Dante if that's useful info (prob not). I'd contribute to this project getting finished. EFX map is on the roadmap I understand.

Did you ever have it working with Mackie Protocol? Also I am a Mac user so if you have some windows oddity I may not be all that helpful.

So it is installed then, but the fp doesn't light up? The Reasonus app never really worked for me past install, I've not used it. Someday, but in the meantime I do have it running and edited the scripts to get f1 f8 shift functions. Sends work efx do not.

A device I have on my desk is a djtools midifighter twister 16. I use it for efx and also on remote recordings as my fader controller. Very handy 4 pages x16 knobs, pan, volume on/off, works like a champ.

I have the exact same issue. I wound up editing SMS scripts to modify Function/Shift options. Mac Catalina/Reaper 6.58. I also use Dante if that's useful info (prob not). I'd contribute to this project getting finished. EFX map is on the roadmap I understand.

I would love to have a session as early today as possible.

I am excited about getting the Faderport 16 to work in Reaper the way it does in Studio One.

I have been evolving my Reaper design since version 4 and do not like having to move to ProTools or Studio One to get the power of the FaderPort 16 that I have experienced in Studio One.

Here are the actions I have taken:

• Updated the Faderport 16 firmware

• Updated the SWS Extensions and confirm that the ReaSonus actions exist

• Uninstalled ReaSonus and all Registry and Drive files a number of times

• Tried these MIDI settings:

• Disabled both Faderport 16 and FaderPort 16 MIDI

• Disabled just FaderPort 16 MIDI, enabling FaderPort 16

• Prayed o the Reaper Gods for Clarity of Understanding 😊

• Placed a curse on the Technology Gods for wasting my time 😊

I have the exact same issue. I wound up editing SMS scripts to modify Function/Shift options. Mac Catalina/Reaper 6.58. I also use Dante if that's useful info (prob not). I'd contribute to this project getting finished. EFX map is on the roadmap I understand.

Hi Brad, Do you already have it working? Still willing to help you out. Beside that, I am now porting everything to CSI v3. Have th FP8 functioning. Need to add a couple of files for the FP16. Let me know if you want to try them before I finish the actual installer.
