There are ways to convert rpm to deb.
I'm sure,there are such ways for ebuild too.
So all we need is to create an rpm, convert it and ask users of different
distributions to test converted rpm.
With Windows it may be a little more difficult. We should make an installer.

Из Debian-based дистрибутивах есть софтина (не 
помнюкак называется), которая ставит
софт из RPM =) Вечерком гляну как называется

Забудь про alien, это вариант из разряда 
"ниачом", лучше собрать тем же чекинсталлом

Да чекинсталлом для начала можно в 
принципе собирать, потом уже (если ну свосем
хочется пострадать фигней) девелы наши 
любимые (:P) выкладывают оригинал сорцев и
diff - делай по статье на хабре :)
