We could use google docs, but that might be too cumbersome? any suggestions is welcome!

I found this: http://www.conftool.net/ Demo: http://www.conftool.net/demo/standard/

But do we really need something this complex?

adarshaj commented 10 years ago

nope, also, doesn't look cool :stuck_out_tongue:

rohit-gupta commented 10 years ago

What are the details that we need to collect ? @adarshaj what all do you think we should have to avoid the cumbersomeness ?

abhimanyuma commented 10 years ago

http://doattend.com

Free for free events, collects registration data we need, and is well respected within the FOSS community (foss.in etc. used them).

vikraman commented 10 years ago

For CFP, google moderator.

@rohit-gupta I think we don't want to collect any personal details, we need the person's Name and some way to identify them in person, probably an ID number of a verifiable identity which can be shared with us.

To avoid cumbersomeness, for a start, we should not host a custom code, we should use some reliable 3rd party service which is well experienced in such matter (like what @abhimanyuma suggested).
