Thanks for the suggestion! This program seems more like an incubator for "pre-startup teams," whereas this microgrant list is geared towards funding for individuals, so I'll close this request, but I appreciate it.

Strangely, there's pioneer.app on the list, which, if I am not mistaken, is for pre-startup teams.

Mozilla Builders runs three distinct programs twice a year.

Incubator: $75K investment; 8 to 10 startups. MVP Lab: $16K grant; 10 to 20 startups. Open Lab: $10K in prizes; 10 to 25 startups.

Mozilla Builders grants $16K with no-strings-attached to MVP Lab teams they choose. Participation in their mentorship program is voluntary. In addition, they also run "an Open Lab" competition for 12 weeks and offer $10K in prizes to teams that didn't get selected for MVP / Incubator but look promising otherwise.

Their $75K investment is what you could call a start-up incubator.

I hope that clears it up? I see Mozilla Builders MVP Lab / Open Lab as no different to pioneer.app.

That's fair! When Pioneer was first added to this list, they offered small grants for individuals, but it's now developed into more of an accelerator program. This list is still meant to focus on grants for individuals rather than teams, but you're right that it doesn't really fit the "microgrant" criteria anymore. Will remove that as well.
