Institution Key not always highlighting correctly #79

What steps will reproduce the problem?
Navigate to "Scholarship of Teaching and Learning" using the production db. 
Hover over "Macalester College" to highlight all people and edges belonging to 
Macalester.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
All edges and nodes that connect to a person with Macalester as their primary 
institution should be highlighted. Both Adrienne Christiansen and Karl Wirth 
are colored as selected, but their edges are not highlighted. Paul Overvoorde 
is not even colored as selected.
