Well, 'memoization' would be the proper jargon, but I see your concern wrt. our target audience, so I would be OK with using 'lookup table' instead.
I was a bit undecided about this as well, but then thought I'd leave it as is,

Hi, is there a specific reason why you use the term memoization in the paper, instead of lookup table. It could be confusing for the target audience of the paper which, presumably, is made of bioinformaticians and biologists.
