Dark Mode

As an experimentation with providing a separate visual version of the website I want to create a Dark Mode.

Requirements

• [x] a dark mode of the website is available
• [x] it is easy to add a dark mode for future elements
• [x] dark mode can be toggled using a switch on the site
• [ ] ~dark mode is automatically enabled if the browser requests so.~
• [x] keep dark mode choice over sessions

I did some research on other websites that have an implemented dark mode:

• Things Blog - has some sections that contain a dark-mode.

  

• Apple - also uses a lot of black on their websites which could provide some inspiration.

  

• MacStories - also provides a dark-light mode toggle

  

It might also be worth checking out the Apple design guidelines about dark mode.
