Taxon page > New tab 'Designations' #149

Add a new tab called 'Designations' to the Taxon Page to show which Designations relate to the species.

For example you can see a similar box on the NBN Gateway here: https://data.nbn.org.uk/Taxa/NBNSYS0000000013

Ella, Christine and I will extract the list of designations currently on the NBN Gateway to add to the Atlas to search against.

We have this functionality with the lists tool, although there isn't a section for "Designations". If lists are added to lists.als.scot then they will appear on the species pages.

We'll need to add these to the species lists - lists.als.scot. Whos the best person to source and upload these lists ?

@EllaVogel could you please liaise with Dave regarding the designation lists sent over from JNCC. I think Chris Raper may also need to be involved

I had recently been in touch with Graham French at JNCC about this. His response was that:

The species designations are part of the UK Species Inventory and automatically updated on the NBN Gateway as part of updating the NBN Gateway species dictionary with the latest UK Species Inventory so I don’t have the actual designations files. The original files are in a designations spreadsheet which is available to download -[http://jncc.defra.gov.uk/page-5546]

Dave, is this spreadsheet useful to you? If you can show me how to upload these files, I can get cracking with that

@EllaVogel is this something that we should look at once we have the latest version of the UKSI?

@sophiathirza Does this relate to the species page? Do we still need to do anything with this?

@c-van-dierkson yes, it's to add species designations to the species pages.

The designations appear on this page already, half way down under datasets or am I missing something? @sophiathirza

@c-van-dierkson I believe that they want them more obvious.
