Using articulation quick insert on a sequence with shorthand dynamics seems to
mistake decrescendo/crescendo signs for chord delimiters.
E.g., applying staccato dots to this line
c c\< c c c\> c\! c c
results in this
c-. c-.\< c c c\>-. c-.\! c-. c-.
instead of this
c-. c-.\< c-. c-. c-.\> c-.\! c-. c-.
