Activity recreation don't maintain current fragment index

Hi!!. When i call activity.recreate() to perform night mode from setting fragment, the fragment who start at first is actually the first and not the setting fragment, but the bottom navigation view show as selected the setting fragment, any idea?. Thanks again and sorry for my English
