The intent of this module is to determine whether a set of related phenotypes can be identified within a patient cohort. The general idea is to determine whether subsets of patients can be identified who share the same environmental exposures and phenotypic profiles (e.g., symptoms, diagnoses) within a defined cohort. In other words, given a set of inferred phenotypes, can we identify clusters of patients that share both the environmental exposures used to infer the phenotypes and the phenotypes themselves. The cohort could be the original cohort from Module 1 of Workflow 5 or a different cohort.
