datasets Version 16.7? #329

When we execute the latest version datasets 16.6.0, the following prompt is seen. New version of client (16.7.0) available at https://ftp.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pub/datasets/command-line/LATEST/linux-amd64/datasets However, the version is available neither at the pointed location nor released into github. Can this please be corrected? Thank you!

Hi @balags1,

Thanks for pointing this out. This is indeed unexpected behavior and looks like it is probably related to an accidental change. The fix is being worked on and is heading through the system. It can take up to a few days before this is reflected in production though. I will keep this ticket open and close it once it is available.

We have released a new version, 16.8.1, and this version is now available on FTP and via conda, as expected.
