The Glider Mapping Tool will help the glider pilot see the glider tracks, showing desired corrdinates (waypoints) as well as actual coordinates. It will also support custom overlays. The gmt_ui is the user interface component of gmt.

Andrew has everything he needs (requirements & design) to get started on this task. The first release will support glider tracks of desired and actual coordinates on a map. The second release will support custom overlays. Steve and Andrew will meet on Thursday 4/6.

Need static overlay for bathymetry. Also need to see a sample of an overlay for HF Radar.

In development, gmt_ui is currently displaying the reported locations (GPS coordinates) on a map for multiple gliders. (The user toggles each glider on/off.) When you click on a location, you see a surface report, with many key-value pairs. For the first release, the next steps are: 1) Make the marker for the lastPosnIcon look different, so the user can distinguish the last glider position from all the previous positions... 2) Display waypoints.
