B1 and B2 Painting #60

Capt Joe Purifoy at IMS is handling all the buoy painting tasks

B1

We soda blasted and primed the aluminum frame below the waterline, with InterLux 2000E, last deployment. The frame looks fantastic.

[x] yellow acrylic topside
[x] black stencil lettering
[x] acetone wash below waterline
[x] 1st coat of anti-foulant (Trilux 33) before mid-Feb
[x] 2nd coat of anti-foulant (Trilux 33) before shipping in mid-March
[x] Install zn-anode plates and bolt-ends

B2

B2 is showing signs of pitting, so we will blast off old paint to bare aluminum and get a it primed with InterLux 2000E.

[x] yellow acrylic topside
[x] black stencil lettering
[x] acetone wash below waterline
[x] soda blast undercarriage frame
[x] 1st coat primer InterLux 2000E within 24 hours of blasting
[x] 2nd coat primer InterLux 2000E. before mid-Feb
[x] 1st coat of anti-foulant (Trilux 33) before mid-Feb within 24 hours of last primer coat
[x] 2nd coat of anti-foulant (Trilux 33) before shipping in mid-March
[x] Install zn-anode plates and bolt-ends
