scenario: multiple clients, but, one ore more clients had intermittent connection; this probably involves each client keeping track of which rows were synced successfully based on the PUT response

also probably involves conflict-resolution code on the server; there will probably be some cases with too much ambiguity where conflicts cannot be resolved
