If we need to edit the checks that you want @taylorgibson, let me know. This is failing on a missing DOI and missing data availability statement. The second, maybe you don't want?

Rowan,

We may need to disable a DOI and data availability statement for this first year of the journal, as we didn't require these from students during their submission and going back now might be difficult / impossible. I think this first year will be a good way to identify ways we can ask our students to step up their literature review process, as well as have us do a better job coaching them on the required elements of a manuscript submitted for publication.

Ok - now only the ORCID isn't there. Let me know if you want that to be optional this year.

@rowanc1 Let's make that optional this year too. We've already decided to make that a requirement for submission next year!
