One issue I had while running the analysis in terrain building was getting the data into the model. At first I tried copying the data in from the table of contents but it would not let me do that. I also tried copying it form the original data location but that also did not work. I finally realized that the data needed to be copied from arc catalog itself to be used in the terrain model.

More detail would have been helpful for the instructions about the Terrain Wizard in ArcMap; the instructions directed me to copy/paste or drag and drop elev_lid792_randpts into the terrain dataset, but neither of those were allowed. Instead, I had to import elev_lid792_randpts as a feature class.
