2021 Deferred Harvest Methodology Section: Section 2 Description of the methodology
Comment: "Therefore, this is a performance-based methodology that relies on measurements to demonstrate harvest deferrals, and associated GHG emission reductions / removals, in relation to a baseline scenario. As such, growth and yield modeling that is necessary in most IFM project types is not employed." We understand that is a performance based methodology, but for the Ex ante estimations, when the project activities (Deferral) is just starting, then the ex ante estimations need to be calculated with growth models fpor the species and the forest? And the ex-post will be calculated with the permanent plots. similar to what we do for ARR, right?
Proposed Change: The Ex ante shoudl be calculated with growth information from: literature, local inventories and national inventories, and the ex post shoudl can be built with permanent plots, similar to what we do in ARR
