I would like to register the game at http://www.indiedb.com/games/turres-monacorum. To do so, you need a 64x64 icon to represent your game.

As a really bad first version I had a go at one, starting from the full-text logo: icon

But there is a lot of room for improvement!

Obviously, the colours are wrong. It is not very square either. Perhaps we can keep it that way, as a subtle hint that our tiles are not square either.

Or someone could use the main menu as a basis and somehow superimpose T and M, including some kind of 3d effect (using the fact that an M can be drawn as parts of a cuboid, like so:

m in cuboid

As expected, @koffeinvampir produced within one breathing cycle a much better version than what took me at least an eating cycle: image

It doesn't include my groundbreaking "M" idea that he was not aware of at the time.

tm-icon Like that?

Hmm, that's also interesting. I was thinking more along the lines of my hand-drawn pic above, but TBH I have no idea how to work in the T in a convincing manner.

Somehow I still can't let go of the idea of using the symmetry of T and M and put them on a cuboid frame.

Maybe the cuboid can be more elongated, with the M part somehow becomeing the "stem" of the T.

Perhaps the logo can become more abstract, to the point in which T and M are only visible if you look really closely. I'd just want to make sure that it doesn't become "MT"

I will be trying something else.

Okay, thanks. For the original purpose both are fine; there's no need to take any more time from your real projects for this :-)

It originally occurred to me that the long horizontal text along with the cuboid in the main menu combine to make a T.

We should probably make the colours consistent too if we move more in that direction; either by making the logo look more like the main menu (it would probably get too busy for a logo) or vice versa.
