Issue Description

I tried playing Splatoon 2 with a Wiimote that has Motion Plus integrated. I was not able to control motion. Is that supposed to work? At the same time a Dualsense controller works fine.

There are some issues with the motion plus/extension detection that I wasn't able to debug properly without access to the controllers. Sometimes it fails to detect the correct state. Usually reconnecting a couple of times should be enough for it to get detected correctly. You should also connect the controller from face down on a flat surface in order for the motion controls to be calibrated correctly.

I found a workaround to make motion controls start working. If I unplug the nunchuck then they do start to work.

However calibration seems to be so off that it casts the game unplayable. I tried powering on the wiimote either face down or face up but neither helped.
