Python3 addition #5

Some additional changes needed to make things work with python3

Hey, if you are still working on this, we could merge it into it's own branch and I'll update the README to look for it.

I've been out of touch for a while, so not sure if it makes more sense to do the opposite and make this the main branch with a tag for python2.7 version. Thoughts?

I am essentially using this branch for running my experiments with Eyelink and Psychopy. I'll see if I can clean it up a bit more first, after which I think it makes sense to have this branch (or some future version of it) be the main branch and tag a python 2.7 branch for backwards compatibility.
