The expressions page gets really long when expressions are identified for multiple documents, including children. Collapsing the display of child documents might make the page more user friendly by shortening the display and showing by default only the expressions for top level parent documents.
There may be other options to consider. The problem is the length of the expressions page when there are multiple documents with expressions. The expressions start to run together and it isn't easy to determine where one document's expressions end and another begins. Collapsing expressions for child documents is a sensible approach but we should consider if there are others as well before proceeding.
Collapse the display of expressions on child documents in order to decrease the length of the page on the expressions tab.
