Damage bleeding to other components during server hijack or taking "phantom" damage. #592

! This is an issue tracker, not a helpdesk !

What is the Version you're running?
Version: 2.0.9.8s

(1) In Game User Name: Tisiphony

(2) What is your issue? Component was damaged when I was charging up hijack
script and not attacking any other components on the server. Since connection
was the only component not disabled yet severely damaged, the phantom 25 damage
that happened during the hijack script charge took the server down. I was
attacking www.vespia.bank on the default satnet. I did the initial attack just
before server reset @ 2am on 10/2/13. Then it repeated again after server reset
when I attacked it again.

(3) What steps will reproduce the problem?
a)attacked server (www.vespia.bank).
b)disabled all components except connection but wore connection down low.
c)loaded up hijack connection script. While script was charging and about 1/2
way through charge, conn took 25 damage out of nowhere and the server went down
leaving me unable to complete my mission.

(4) What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Expected output was that connection component would stay at low health while my
hijack script charged up to deal the final blow, allowing me to hijack the
server. Instead, while hijack was charging, connection component suffered
"phantom" damage and went down.

(5)Please provide additional information below.
a) what where you doing when you discovered the problem?
I was attacking the server at 2am both before and after server reset.
b) are you able to retrace your steps in order to reproduce the problem?
Since I was able to repeat this two times, I believe I can repeat it again.

I know there is always the possibility that there was someone else hitting
vespia.bank while I was, but considering the hour and that I was hitting a
server on the default satnet it seems a little strange. Also I would have
assumed that I'd see the connection component continually take damage if
someone else besides me was attacking. Is there a way to take a look at the
game logs to see if there were more than one person (me) attacking vespia.bank
at that time?

See also issue 591. The "phantom" damage is precisely equal to the damage the
server is dealing to *you* during the attack. For some reason it's damaging
itself when it attacks you.
