Final deadline of the project: 30.09.2020 (you can hand in earlier!)

You need to hand in videos containing

• [x] [per Group] A description of your the system with some detail of what you built/programmed ~ 3 minutes
• [x] [per Person ♦️] A making off video, documenting impression from your development, explaining what you individually contributed ~ 3 minutes

You need to hand in Documentations (Docs)

• [x] [per Group] Abstract of the project vision (200 words),
• [x] [per Group] building plan and schematic, python code, and photos in a single PDF
• [x] [per Group] A ZIP file with sources (e.g. code, images, schematics)

Presentation and Feedback

• There will be a group discussion and feedback session after handing in (20 Minutes Zoom call)
• Public presentation either at the open lab day in WS 20/21 or on the webpage.

Steps to connect ESP32 in VSCode

• Download PyMakr Plugin
• Get Serialport from uPycraft Tool
• Enter Serialport in PyMakr global settings as address & set auto_connect to false (don't forget to save the file)
• Connect ESP32

• ideation, planning
• testes servo to rotate slowly and in certain angles

• went to Conrad bought conductive wires
• went to Idee to buy cardboards, wood cases, wires, wood sticks
• prototyped first MVP of light part
• adjusted servo algorithm to take in steps, speed (sleep)
• made appointment for Monday at university to use laser cutter
• first working prototype for light installation

2020-09-21 Monday

• apply settings of ClosedBox, import .svg to figma and export as .svg, import to Illustrator
• laser cut cube (1x without cutouts, 1x with cutouts)
• get perfboards, mobile batteries packs, acceleration sensor, LEDs (different colors), vibration sensor
• collection order (sensors)
• make color sensor MVP (aline, max) (via rgb leds and ldr)
• start working on acceleration sensor (andy, andi)
• did have problems getting the order, therefore collected some items from the workshop
• made new plan for Tuesday and Wednesday

2020-09-22 Tuesday

• solder DIY colour sensor
• continue working on acceleration sensor
• 6050 mpu is working fine, since we switched to 3.3v instead of 5v
• using z-axis only
• mvp with light panel moving accordingly to rotation of cube is working
• DIY sensor is ready
• refactored code
• vibration motor did not work since not enough power was left to power the motor, mpu used too much power
• button did not work (1hr), decided to use switch
• refactored project, and merged light and cube parts
• started working on schematics
• project is working, even though servo is stuttering, decided to skip adding a button to the lights to change directions
