Use radio buttons and not a drop down box in the gui for selecting the scoring method. It is usually more user-friendly to use radio buttons, because the user sees all the possible choices. It could be used in combination with a progressive disclosure arrow, so that not experienced user would not be distracted and just use the default.

Closed, although it was not implemented exactly like specified. In the specification the radiobuttons were vertical and not horizontal. But never mind, at least for now.
