made substates retrievable so that they can be referenced in transition declarations
allowed transitions to be declared from the super-state itself (instead of having to be declared a level higher up)
added a cd_player example to demonstrate/test these changes

Closes #4

Partial progress towards #5 (should probably have kept this separate)
