Diatonic Grave Mode playback #632

Open PeTH2 opened 1 month ago

PeTH2 commented 1 month ago

In many hymns in Grave Mode/Varys from Zo, Ga is sometimes sung sharp (Panagia Despina, Psalm 135, Theotoke Parthene, etc...) however playback currently leaves Ga natural (as it is in Protovarys/Doxology of Manuel, Simeron Sotiria, etc...).

Would it be possible to have a check box to sharpen Ga, much like the "Permanent Enharmonic Zo" playback option already existing in Third Mode and Grave Mode?

EDIT: Meant to say Theotoke Parthene, not Rich Men

This is not simply a mere playback issue as the Ga martyria also can have a different root sign in such cases. In e.g. https://byzantinemusic.org/tmp/Axion%20Estin%20Grave%20Arvanitis%202.pdf I had to manually override the root sign, but it would be nice if the software supported this natively.

https://analogion.com/site/html/Varys.html for all the gory details on this fun category of scales, and Neanes scores for all of them can be found in my collection of Axion Estins.
