Intended Outcome
As a NEAR Application developer, I want to provide a widget to increase users' engagement and interaction with my app.
As a Wallet user, I want to customize my asset management experience and "tile" my asset widgets such that I don't have to open multiple links and applications to view the basic key information I need.
How Will it Work
We are going to build a 2-sided marketplace, where NEAR application creators will need to invest time and resources to build their wallet widget - while NEAR will have to provide "traction" from users fascinated by the idea of composing their own wallet appearance.
At a high level, users will automatically see the relevant widgets - related to their tokens and smart contracts - from a larger catalog of options.
These widgets will have different sizes, showing less or more information accordingly; and it will be possible to arrange the widgets as the user likes.
Overall, the experience might be similar to Microsoft and Apple.
From an engineering standpoint, we must sort out:
versioning of widgets against NEAR wallet itself
security against tokens exfiltration
underlying smart contract data and limitation in token standards
