Some dApps and marketing initiatives are generating third-level account names, such as nearkat.metaverse.near. NEAR Wallet would support these wallets as first-class citizens.
Intended Outcome
As a user I want to use NEAR Wallet also with third-level domains, e.g. nearkat.metaverse.near.
As a NEAR dApp I want to brand my users' accounts, introducing third-level account names that are usable also in NEAR Wallet.
The success of this feature will be measured against the number of third-level account names, and their total locked value.
How Will it Work?
NEAR Wallet is able to restore an account name, via seed passphrase, that is at the third-level hierarchy in the names, supporting a feature already available on near-cli.
This feature will not support the creation of third-level account names from NEAR Wallet.
