Users who want to create a NEAR wallet must pay a small upfront fee (less than 3 NEAR) to register their unique .near account. Today, this process requires an exchange in the middle even for such a small amount. This feature will enable the use of credit cards (via Moonpay), streamlining the onboarding experience within the same webpage, on wallet.near.org.

As a user, I want to fund my wallet using a credit card, such that I can complete the onboarding without leaving NEAR website.
This feature is important on two scenarios:
newbye crypto-user who wants to join the ecosystem and don't have an account on the exchanges supporting NEAR
the growing ecosystem of DAPPs running on top of NEAR, as they can plug this Moonpay flow into their onboarding, and instantly increase the size of their conversion funnel
How will it work?
During the account creation process, users will be presented an opportunity to fund their wallets via credit card, using Moonpay infrastructure. By integrating Moonpay's APIs and the industry-standard steps (name, email, physical address and credit card number), NEAR Wallet will enable the onboarding of new users without leaving the wallet webpage (e.g. to open an online exchange).
