make it possible to run the test from gcp
style the code
type the code (python typing)
improve logging
- more meaningful message when waiting for the nodes to start
- some meaningful message when waiting for the loadtest to complete
fix the broken checks at the end
some retries where flaky or unreliable
make the test resume-able
