No longer working on Windows 10 since last update. #9

Hello, I've been using your software but it no longer works, This happened right after the windows update of November. I'm guessing they must've changed something in the security which prevents the software to do anything. I can no longer play any game without it dropping to 25 fps after 5 mins.

btw, I'm using Windows 10 64bits on Acer Aspire E1-571G.

Don't know if you still are into programming but if you could take a look it would be awesome :)

Hi @BenyBBB, really sorry to hear the app stopped working after an update. Unfortunately I don't have Windows 10 to play with (nor do I want tbh..)

At the same time, Acer decided to be pri*ks and deleted the mega-thread of users complaining about their laptop's heating problem :( (eg. https://community.acer.com/en/t5/Legacy-Laptops-and-Netbooks/Fan-Control-Problems-With-5750G-And-similar-machines/m-p/526744#M75878 )

The only thing I can suggest you try is rolling back the recent update (maybe you can selectively roll it back?) Perhaps you could have a look and see what was included in the update? That might offer some info as to why it's breaking the fan controller.

Hey, I actually didn't know I could uninstall updates. I just uninstalled some "security" ones and other windows updates but it didn't do anything. It won't let me uninstall all of them though. I also uninstalled some programs that could mess up with it but no success. I restarted the PC each time.

I don't think this can be solved without reinstalling Windows or rolling back to a recovery point which I don't feel like doing. I think I'll just remove the laptop chassis and leave all the components hanging just so It can cool off.
