Sorry for creating case on this. Wasn't sure if you wanted to chime in on the discussion I started. I've seen several others also ask questions about RTCP and proper how to's with homer / heplify-server and some of us asterisk using its hep protocol. Ability to change log path would be nice and I'm sure doable via a conf file or command line change for app execution. I personally like logging most all my stuff into the /var/log structure as it simplifies log management. At least for this old school linux user it does. Plus with a service someone can just issue journalctl -u "service name" if they don't know where the log is located if its running as a service.
