Direct Message problems (Linux Desktop version) #408

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open Hotot
2. Login
3. Wait for Direct Message column to try and update. Several HTTP error codes
are thrown.

The above codes are thrown every time Hotot tries to retrieve direct messages
on schedule; this breaks the user experience greatly.

Is there a different url for the API that it should be using?

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected output is to see direct messages in that column; instead there's
nothing.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system and
what Desktop Environment?

Ubuntu Linux (Natty)

Please provide any additional information below.

Check this
http://blog.programmableweb.com/2011/06/28/twitter-direct-message-enforcement-de
adline-this-week/

Seems like you need to regrant authorization to the application. I revoked
access and after that re-authorized and now it works again :)

I have the same error, only the new authorisation doesn't fix it. I'm on Mint
11.
