Same here – helper app does not start, all the settings are gone, room trial does not work.
Just installed 2024.5, app is still broken unfortunately. Same issue.
Are you both still seeing this issue? Does start app do anything in general?
Yep, unfortunately so. If you manually hit the start app it flickers to show the version but then goes back to start app. Nothing happens really. Thanks for looking into this.

Are you using widgets?
Other widgets on the desktop, yes, but not Scenecuts widget.

Yes, I do have widgets, but no Scenecut widget. The app starts and appears in the menu bar as well. If I want to start the helper app, the app switches for a short moment to another pop-up – and back.
@domenicoblass I think I have a fix, can you please upgrade to 2024.5. I'll work on getting 2024.6 out asap with the fix.

No, it won’t launch. Just tried sending you a 4MB video showing the issue but Github seems to have a super low file size limit. Do you have an email address I can send it to?

Just installed 2024.7. Unfortunately the issue persists. I tried completely uninstalling and re-installing and no go. Are these some preferences/settings held elsewhere that I can wipe perhaps to see if it helps? For reference, I’m on an M1 Max Mac Studio with 64GB RAM, and macOS Sonoma 14.4.1

Thanks for all the testing. Unfortunately I can't repo on my machine. Would you be able to share some of the devices you have on HomeKit.
I have another idea about what it could be. That I'll work on. Hopefully I'll have something out today. I'll try and just send you a copy so maybe we can test it out before waiting on a release.

Please let me know if 2024.8 resolves the issue. Unfortunately TestFlight hasn't been approved so I haven't been able to get a new TestFlight build out.

@Squuiid yeah the System is broken. You should be able to redeem on iOS and it'll apple to the Mac app. If that doesn't work I have another solution coming up in the next release.

After the latest update Scenecuts update, 2024.4, the Helper app is no longer able to run rendering the app unable to function.
