[Feature Request] Toggle scene | status indication #9

Hello!

I just came across your marvellous tool. What would be incredible useful is if clicking a scene or issuing the shortcut would toggle the scene. If is already on for instance it should be "reversed", so that any object that is turned on would get turned off. This is actually the case within the Home App, where scene buttons act as switches.

When this would be implemented scenes which are active should also get a little checkbox (√) in the menu.

Best, Rastafabi

If I may add: for items in the menubar use the open icon when the scene isn't active and the filled icon for when the scene is active. If you have set an icon for the scene, the menu could use it as well instead of the checkmark Rastafaisch is talking about.

Checkbox

I actually thought of something more in line with the macOS VPN menubar app.

That is also very nice! And more in style with macOS indeed. In fact, I think this has a better overview than my idea.

It's odd I don't see any API to get the status of a scene. So I'm not sure if this is possible.

iAmRenzo commented 3 years ago

That is odd. In HomeKit the tile shows the correct status 🤔 But I'm not programmer.

There might be a way to do it. I'll keep researching.
